my friend and i went here to specifically try their fufu and chicken egusi soup. the queen who was working brought out our order along with 2 bowls of curry chicken and fried plantains for us to try!!! will 1000% be a new spot for us, we love their staff
Great little grocery store/restaurant combo that is really easy to miss. The grocery store had a lot of products that aren't widely available around here. The food at the restaurant was great. The woman running the place was super friendly. The restaurant was a little more expensive than some around here, but for fresh cooked food, good portion sizes, and excellent service, I would rather pay a little more money. Everything in the grocery store and restaurant was clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend this place.
The food is super flavorful and hits the spot. We got jerk chicken and rice, with plantains and veggies. Tasted great and good service too
I have never had any African/Caribbean food before, and I can say it is delicious from here. I got the egusi stew, yam fufu, and rice. The stew had a kind of smoky smell and flavor that I enjoyed, and the fufu was great. The rice was well seasoned and flavorful. I highly recommend!
My daughter and I went to Morgantown for the day and this was the best choice for dinner we could’ve made. Absolutely love the atmosphere, people and food! Beef Egusi soup and fufu and coconut chicken curry was on point. We also got boiled plantains and boiled yams (sooo good). A definite must try if in the area.
I don’t usually leave reviews very often, but I had to for this place it was absolutely delicious! I loved everything about this place and will absolutely come back again when I’m in town! Jay was so kind and so welcoming, and a wonderful cook! Her smile brought a smile to my face as well!
I am so happy they were open the day after Christmas. I was looking forward to introducing my family to some wonderful new flavors. I should have taken some photos but I was too excited to dig in. This food was phenomenal. We got Beef patties (so good, hit the spot), Coconut curry chicken (unbelievably good), jerk chicken (the right kind of spicy, juicy, and so flavorful). The jollof rice was delicious, and the plantains freshly cooked were awesome. I believe we met the owner and she was an absolute delight. I cannot wait to visit the area again so I can enjoy this again.
